There are 3 ways to set up your digiesim.
1. Use camera to scan QR code: If you have the QR code printed or another device
- Ensure you have QR code image on a printout or on another screen.
- Open the Camera app and point camera towards QR code and tap yellow prompt.
- Follow the instructions to install your eSIM..
2. Long Press the QR Code on the email
On the email that you receive with the QR code, press and hold the QR code and you will see an option that says 'Add eSIM'
Please Note: if this option is not available, use option 3
3. Enter the details manually: Copy and paste the code from your email
If you are unable to use the QR code, then you can install the eSIM manually using the codes that have been emailed to you
You will need the following:
SMDP Address: consumer.e-sim.global
Activation Code: (In your email)
Follow the steps below
- Go to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Service > Add eSIM or Cellular Plan or Data Plan
- Tap Use QR code
- Tap Enter Details Manually
- Enter SM-DP Address and Activation Code (from your email)
- Tap Next
- Follow the instructions to install your eSIM
Post-Installation Instructions
- Wait a few minutes for the eSIM to activate.
- Turn OFF your Primary (home country) data plan when prompted in Settings.
- Turn ON Data Roaming for your new eSIM in Settings.
- The activated eSIM will be labeled 'Connect'. You can rename it to 'digiesim' later in Settings.
- Ensure mobile data switching is OFF in Settings
